The Ocean Cleanup Project - a concept created by Boylan Slat to solve the over abundance of trash and plastic debris littering the oceans. The concept involves large collectors (see rendering below by Erwin Zwart) connected to vast booms that slowly sweep the surface, sifting and cleaning out particles.
